Durable and corrosion resistant grade 8 hex bolts and hex nuts are commonly used in marine, military, oil & gas, off-road vehicle and industrial applications. They are made from alloy steel and heat treated to a high tensile strength of 150,000 psi minimum. Grade 8 fasteners are ideal for mechanical applications where high stress and strong load bearing would be required. Grade 8 fasteners are usually Yellow Zinc Plated or Plain off the shelf, but can be coated with other coatings. Diameters range from 1/4" to 1-1/2".  For similar strength bolts in larger diameters, please see A354 bolts.
